Alan Waters

President (Position 1, 2009)


    Alan attended Purdue University while working on his Bachelor’s degree and received a Masters in Business Administration from Webster College in Colorado. He is presently CEO of WALYN Enterprises, Inc., a holding company which is comprised of a transportation company, a construction company, and a modular building assembly company.
    Alan’s background includes a career in law enforcement, where he worked his way up to the position of Chief of Police in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. He designed the world-wide security program for Compaq Computer Company while employed as their Corporate Security Director.
    Alan served on the Board of Directors of the YMCA and the Optimist Club. He served as President of the Walden Property Owners Association and Chairman of the Modifications Committee for the CSA. He and his wife Yolanda and two daughters have been residents of Walden since 1996.



Gene W. Perry

Vice President (Position 2, 2009)


    Gene is President - Chief Executive Officer for DISA, Inc. an employee screening company. He began his working career as a craftsman, working his way up through various levels of management including Trades Superintendent, Quality Control Engineer, Construction Field Engineer, Construction Site Manager, Project Manager, and Regional Construction Manager. He joined DISA in 2001 after twenty years with the Bechtel Group of San Francisco. In his last position as a Vice-President of Bechtel Construction Operations Inc., he had Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) operational responsibilities for all projects in Canada, North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. He has also worked for Texaco, E.I. Dupont,, and Austin Power holding various positions in construction and operations for refineries, chemical plants, nuclear and fossil power plants, mining projects, and pipelines.
    He is a two tour Vietnam veteran and has been married to his wife Susan for 38 years. They have three grown children and six grandchildren.



Jim Caldwell

Secretary (Position 3, 2009)


    Mr. Caldwell has lived in Walden with his family since 2001. He is a practicing trial lawyer at the international law firm Bracewell & Giuliani. He received his law degree from Indiana University--Bloomington, his M.L.A. from Southern Methodist University and his B.A. in Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University.



David Simon

Treasurer (Position 5, 2009)


    David has lived in Walden with his family since the summer of 2005. He is the Director of Food and Nutrition Services at Kingwood Medical Center. David has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years in the Midwest and on the West coast. Prior to working in healthcare, he worked in the restaurant industry for various companies as a General Manger and Executive Chef.
    David received his Bachelors of Science degree from Bellevue University in Omaha, Nebraska. David is an assistant scoutmaster with troop 839 in Kingwood and has served as a Scoutmaster for the 2005 National Boy Scout Jamboree held at Ft. AP Hill Virginia and has served as a crew advisor for Philmont Scout Ranch High Adventure Camp in Cimarron, New Mexico. In addition to working with the Boy Scouts, he also volunteers his time and talents with faith based and other community organizations.
    Some of his hobbies include hiking, camping, golf, exercise, sewing and traveling with family. David is very passionate about his volunteer work and believes that through volunteering, an individual can make a difference in the lives of others.



James Alexander

    James has been a resident of Walden since 2001. He is President and CEO of Posting-Profits, Inc., dba Aviation International. After 20 years in the airline industry, including leadership positions at both Continental and Frontier airlines, he started his own management services and consultancy firm two years ago, specializing in airline operations in Latin America.
    James has become an avid tennis player here at Walden. While he is in fact a golf member, the camaraderie of the players and excellent tennis staff draws him to the courts as often as he can. He also enjoys the new weights and exercise room, which is a wonderful improvement over the “dungeon” of old at the clubhouse.
    James is a first year docent at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH) touring school kids through the downtown museum once a week. He also is a “ground angel” for Angel Flight/American Cancer Society transporting patients from IAH to the M.D. Anderson Center. He says it puts everything into its proper perspective.
